Transactions shipped within of the State of Wisconsin or picked up at our warehouse are subject to Wisconsin State Sales Tax unless you can claim exemption. We do not charge sales tax for transactions shipped outside of the state of Wisconsin. *Exception: We also must claim Illinois State Sales Tax if transaction is shipped to an Illinois address, unless you claim exemption. We will need an exemption form to process a refund of any tax paid.
Delivery dates are approximate and are not guaranteed. Metz Welding, Inc. will not be liable for delays due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Once a shipment leaves our warehouse, we cannot control if it takes longer to get to you than what was quoted. All shipping quotes are estimated times.
Freight carriers do not offer free calls (prior delivery notification), although they may still call ahead at times, but it is not guaranteed. If you are not available during the time of delivery, and the carrier has to return a different day, there will be a redelivery fee charged, which will be billed to you. Someone must be present to unload palleted items, or there could be a fee assessed from the freight carrier that will be billed to you. It is Required that a machine be present with the proper lift capacity to off-load freight as lift-gate service is NOT provided, but is available at an extra cost, which will be billed to you if used.
FREIGHT DAMAGES AND LOST SHIPMENTS: We rely on timely, accurate, and secure shipping on a daily basis; therefore, we have partnered with shipping carriers that we trust to do the job correctly. In the rare case of receiving an item that has been damaged during transit, it is your responsibility to note any and all damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL), upon delivery.
You will also be responsible for filing a freight claim with the carrier. We will do everything we can on our part, to be an advocate on your behalf and assist in negotiating with the carrier to correct the situation.
In the rare case of a lost shipment, please notify us if you have not received your order in a timely manner. We stock most items that we advertise and sell, and pride ourselves on prompt, accurate shipments. If your order has been lost in transit, we will work with the carrier to find it. Please give us up to two weeks to notify the carrier of the issue and to locate your order. If after exhausting all avenues and verifying with the carrier that your order is indeed lost, we will reship your order to you at no cost.

We will gladly accept customer returns for any reason, although we require you to obtain a return authorization before sending the item back. Rare – If you received the wrong item in your order, we will pay the shipping to return the incorrect item to our warehouse, and the shipping to deliver you the proper equipment in the same manner of original shipping, but you MUST ACCEPT DELIVERY FIRST!
In the event you ordered the wrong item or have changed your mind, you will be responsible for shipping the item back to our warehouse where we will inspect the item and refund your purchase price minus our original shipping cost. You will be responsible for paying shipping back to our warehouse. Returns will not be accepted if you refuse delivery, send the item back, or if you charge your credit card back without notifying us in advance.
No returns will be accepted on non-stock custom-built items. Because they’re specifically tailored to your individual needs and are therefore not resalable, we are unable to accept returns on custom ordered items. We will however make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue to improve your satisfaction.
